Project coordination and management
The Project is placed under the administrative supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security. Strategic direction is provided by the National Project Steering Committee (COPIL) composed of representatives of the various ministries and representatives of producer organizations. The COPIL examines overall progress and validates the PTBAs.
The Project Management Unit (PMU) is delegated to the Project Management Unit (PMU) which is part of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and which has administrative and financial management autonomy by being accountable to the Ministry of Finance for the use of funds. The PMU ensures fiduciary and operational management responsibilities including planning, administrative and financial management, implementation and technical supervision of implementing partners (including procurement, auditing, knowledge management and knowledge production and the Monitoring and Evaluation System). The PMU headquarters is located in Kikwit (Kwilu province) with four branches located in each intervention zone.
